Battle Mode & Code Red
For those who are just starting out, battle mode (once unlocked) is the best place to farm both coins and food. You can very easily win battles very quickly if you know your opponents weaknesses (see Creature Statistics for weaknesses). There is no limit on how many times you can play any given round in the battle arena. The only thing that will limit how often you can play in battles is how long it takes your creatures to get their rest after each battle. Because this regeneration time is relatively low when your a lower level player, you can spam the battle arena and the more you spam the battles, the more coins and food you will earn. If you play on your phone or tablet, one suggestion would be to open the game and play a few battles during commercial breaks while your watching TV. Again, spamming the battle mode is an excellent method of farming coins when your playing at lower levels. Spamming the battle arena will not only earn coins and food, but you will be earning valuable claws as well.
TIP: When farming in the battle arena, its beneficial to figure out the highest level in which each of your creatures can kill each of your opponents dinos with only a single attack. This will make farming a little less tedious and more profitable. By using just one of your dinos per battle, you can fight more battles. For example 7 dinos = 7 battles
Code Red is another source of easy coins for those playing at lower levels. Code Red is pretty self explanitory, but there are a few things that can help increase your profits. First, waiting until the timer is flashing red will increase the amount of coins you get when you click or tap on it. Also, placing all your carniverous dinos so that they all fit in the screen at the same time will make it easier to run the timers as close to full as possible. Another tip is to play code red on a mobile phone. With the smaller screen, every dino is within reach of your thumbs which actually helps more than you might think.
